"Divorce" by Joel Brouwer

I chose this poem because it really shows how it relates to life. Joel says, "This week we learned that if you want to be one, you can't be celery, a  hotel room, or the big dipper." I think he is trying to say that you need to be your unique self and not be like anyone else.

  1. Hi Stephanie!

Thanks for posting! I look forward to meeting you on Friday at Park University. Don't forget to bring in your permission slip if you haven't already done that.

  2. At this exact moment, this is exactly what I need to read. I have to remember I am different, I need to be myself, and not what everyone else expects me to be. I would like to something similar to love or a smile, both are powerful, yet very vague in a sense. I might now make much sense, but I like your interpretation.
